Car and Driver is so partial to the damn 3-series.

And the 300C?

Did the Mazdaspeed 3 replace the TSX as best sports sedan? I guess we'll have to wait for the 2008 turbo'd TSX to retake it

After test driving in a 2006 BMW 330i, I can understand why C&D continue to praise the 3 series. its an amazing ride

Yep. BMW makes really nice cars.

I just can't justify paying the cost for a BMW. When you compare the 330 to the TSX, it is a better car. When you consider what you get for $40,000 plus another 5-10 thousand for features that you get standard on a TSX, it's not worth the extra money.

I guess if $50,000 isn't a big drop in the bucket, get a BMW, and enjoy the smell of the leatherette!!!

Plus C&D has driven the car ('06). I'm just too lazy to dig up the exact issue.

Gee, here's a thought, maybe Honda's and BMW's belong on the 10 best list every year. You can claim bias, but both companies make outstanding vehicles, so it's no surprise they're always on the list.

I just got the Jan issue of C&D with the 10 best list. The Accord and Fit made the list. No Acuras made the final cut.

their system is a bit strange, only new models can displace previous winners. So the RL/TL weren't elligible. Not sure if they reviewed the RDX/MDX, and the TSX got displaced by the Mazdaspeed 3. The Accord was a previous winner and the Fit was a new model

It was good 3 year run. Xizor, RDX/MDX compete in 10 best trucks. That list looks pretty good to me. And its saying something when the 5 year old Accord still manages to hold off the all new Camry and Altima.

The new 3 and G35 are simply great cars, no arguing with them being there.

Don't think the Accord should have won. New Camry >>> Current Gen Accord. This just shows how much they love Honda.

Agree with almost everything else.

I have to agree that, given the advancement in power, handling, features, etc. in the TSX's incredibly competitive "class", to be the best sport sedan for the first three years is incredible. Especially since the TSX isn't usually at the top of any one performance category vs. its rivals.

The new Camry has a kick ass engine but come on, no 6 speed manual in their sporty SE model? That is mind numbing nuts. I think thats why the editors of CD chose the Accord once again, those guys enjoy a MT for fun anytime over a auto.

I agree a 6speed should have been offered. Same goes for the new higher end Lexus IS ... shame.

1. TL/RL didn't make the 10 best cut when the new model came out, so no chance of joining the competition when there's no significant model change.

(C&D like TL/RL in general, but both cars don't quite compare to TSX in terms of agility.)

2. SUV/van/trucks are compared by the a separate 5 best list, at a different time. I have a feeling that one of the new Acura will make the list, likely the MDX.

By the way, Camry has never been on the C/D 10 best list, simply because it's never sporty enough.

People just love Honda Fit. I'd surely buy this car too if I just need a car for myself - seems so practical and good to drive.
