TSX a 10 Best Winner, again??

I was bored so I put "Acura TSX" in the search button on Community Webshots and what came up came to me as a surprise. It was a 2006 TSX and when i read the caption, it said 10 best winners and it seems as though the person who owns the pictures is from Car and Driver. I don't really know what it is so you can take a look for yourself but to me, it looks like the TSX is a 10 Best Winner AGAIN!!!

Nice find.....

The decesion I'm sure has been made since it should be in January's issue and the fact that some new cars are also listed gives it more credence.

Congrats once again TSX.

3 consecutive years!

as long as honda can keep the pricing below $30k, TSX is going to keep racking them up.

Exactly. All Acura is doing is making their decision a little easier with the 2006 model.

In the pic with the alleged 10 Best winners lined up, the caption reads: "These are the winners of 10Best that we drove out to the racetrack. The 2 that are not in the picture are the Porsche Boxster and the Mazda RX-8. I drove the Audi A3 out there and the RX-8 back..."

So I'm guessing those are the other ones... only time will tell. BTW, I hope this guy/gal doesn't get fired for posting these pics way before publication .

That's great to hear. I wonder if Car and Driver is basing their decision on the '05 and then assuming how the '06 changes will improve performance, etc. The picture looks like and '05, so they probably didn't get a "pre-release" '06 to test drive for the article.

If you look at the other pages, there is a picture of the IS. There are also pics of both Mustang and GTO. So looking at these pics, you don't really know which ones won and which ones came in second, do you?

Awesome!!

I also turned on the TV this morning, and it was on the Discovery HD channel (of all channels) from the night before, and guess what I see?

The new commercial for the 06 TSX!!! It was pretty cool, it shows the TSX going through a city. The vehicle is sort of transparent, and you can see people kind of flying in and out of it and sitting in it as if they are in their living rooms.

Congrats to the TSX for another award

Car and Driver 10Best is not a ranking, but a list. So if it's a 10Best winner, then it holds the same place as all the other 10Best winners, and the caption does indeed call it a 10Best winner.

Yeah, I think the IS and the other cars were just part of the testing. I think the excess cars were non-winners. Most of the winners have labels

why is 50% of the 10best 2 door sport cars?
I'm glad the TSX made it again but IMO the 10best list has been going downhill for the past 2 years.

THe excess cars are models which are new for '06 (thus eligible for consideration) and were available to C&D at the time of testing.

The only way to be considered for the 10best if not a new model is to be on the list the previous year.

So if the IS didn't make the cut, I guess that means it'll never make it?

Then why is the GTO there, when it got screwed by the editors last year in favor of the Mustang (and it seems, again this year)?

Not to discredit C&D but they always had a bias towards BMW and Honda... I'm not saying that the TSX doesn't deserve the spot (heck it's my second TSX so I beleive they are great cars)...

There's never been a 10 best without at least a Honda. Don't get me wrong, I own 3 hondas so I love them 2...

Cheers
