I am so bummed. My manual 04 TSX is approaching 70K and is way out of warranty. On turning the key I heard a sound like when a spoon gets down the garbage disposal. Popped the hood and sawsoft smoke coming off the passenger side of the engine.

My private garage that specializes in Honda/Acura tells me the AC compressor is frozen solid, and clutch and condensor need replacing. Total cost will approved $3000. Three questions:

1. Anybody with the same problem?
2. Little less than 3K seems a bit pricey.
3. Anyone have any luck with getting Honda/Acura to go half on this problem so fa out of warrant?
