Hey guys,

Does anyone here happen to know what the flooring in the trunk, specifically the part over the spare compartment, is made with? I had a pretty full bottle of water spill in the back, and wanted to see if there was anything underneath the outer material covering that might warp. Thanks.

 

Be glad it was water and not milk, or gasoline or something like that. Seems to me that the floor material covering the spare is some type of hard foam covered by thin carpeting. I could be completely wrong though, I'd have to go look to be more certain.

 

Yes, I thought of that when I found the mess. Unfortunately, there was a bit of PS2 wash mixed in, but it was fairly diluted, so I'm not worried. The cover is awefully light, so foam seems like a good guess.

 

Two words for you .... "trunk tray"

 

If you're talking about the part where you can lift (and covered with thin carpet), that's just plastic. All the trunk lining is plastic with thin carpet on top.

 

Ah, good. No harm done then. I will just have the cleanest trunk in the US for a few days
