Is it true that one should VTEC once in a while to get the Carbon out?
My OC sensor needs to be replaced. A friend told me that I needed to VTEC every once in a while to get out the carbon build up. Is this true?
He said if you don't VTEC, it could cause problems with your Catalytic coverter, plugs, injectors, and the entire exhaust system. You could also get parasatic power lost.
Is there harm in not VTEC'ing.

if you drive like an old bat then it's not good for the car.. the car cries for high rpms..
a car that reaches peak power usually has less problems than a car that is driven like molasses.
so it's good once in a while to open her up..

It is a good idea to give your engine a bit of a workout here and there. If you always drive like a granny deposits can build up and you can get ridge rings in your cylinders. This can be problematic. I even asked the service guy about this to make sure its ok to drive it like its stolen sometimes,.........always need more excuses.

Reminds me of the dude who owned a Type R and asked if it was damageable for the engine to rev above 2000RPM. I though he was kidding but he wasn't...
Please shift above 5K rpm once in a while.... You will feel great...

My driving style has changed. Going from a C36 to TSX. I don't bother pushing the TSX because i've had a taste of the C36. It just depresses me to see that the TSX is slow. Besides, I didn't buy the TSX for speed, I bought it for the gas savings (compared to the C36), cheaper maintenence and overall value.
I rarely go past 4000rpm.

When you see the tach needle swinging through 7000 so fast its like its broken, you know its time to shift. Takes a little practice but eventually you stop hitting the rev limiter.
Seriously dude, why'd you get this car if your not going to take it to high RPMs? It loves it.
