The touchup paint you buy from the dealership for $6. I have it for 5 years for my TSX. It is getting dry and turning very thick.

Yes, you are right. But somehow I don't want to buy a new one by some unknown reason. It is just $6 dollars.
Anyway... I already have a 1-gallon regular paint thinner sitting in my garage. But I am not sure if I can use it to thin touchup paint. Maybe too strong?

Make a hole, coming thru!
If you thin the paint, the likelihood of it matching your factory paint on any small defect is lessened. Why? The paint has been thinned.
Pay the $6 (or $9 like I did) for a new one!

^^^ Word.
To thin automotive paint you need a solvent like lacquer thinner which has a lot of potential to muck up the existing paint when you apply it. Do it right and get a new bottle of paint before you end up making a big problem that could have been averted by $6.
