Touch control issue for Navi

Do you like the touch control for your navigation system? Do you find it sensitive enough? Does it work less well during cold weather?

I love the touch control, and passengers like it even more. Yes, it was sensitive enough when I first got the car, but I have noticed that there is an extended delay since it has gotten colder in the past couple weeks.

I haven't noticed any problems since it has gotten colder.

TSX-Pgh, I have noticed the same thing - since the weather got colder, the screen just is not as sensitive. I just wonder if it's MY COLD FINGERS rather than the touch screen?

i have had the nav on my 2001 TL for 3 years before getting the TSX and i can tell you that a lighter touch on the screen is more effective than a hard push when you want it to work.

try a slight tap on the screen, as for the slowing in the cold i havnt noticed that yet.

I haven't noticed any touch differences either. I guess it depends on what's considered cold. The coldest I've seen when I've started the car in the morning is around 23f. Most days its been around freezing. I can certainly imagine that this may change for much colder weather.

Let me have the honor of being the first to mention this. I'm sure most of the ladies (at least) know about this:

FINGERNAILS make it tough.

It's kinda funny, actually, to watch my wife trying to do the Nav thing. Most of the time she gets nothing, sometimes she gets the wrong letter, then I hear a 4-ltr word.

Funny as hell.

I just got a new TSX, and have noticed specific areas as being very unresponsive. Specifically some letters, such as V do not respond. Not sure if its the cold. Anyone else find this same area (or other areas) unresponsive in the cold? I'm in Canada, so it has been chilly, but with no point of reference (haven't used it in warmer weather) not sure if I can say its a bad display or if its the cold.
