I run 36-37

lengthens the tire wear and you can feel the difference. MPG show also a good 2-3 mpg less at 32. go figure.

After every service I have to stop and put air in the tires.

Front is heavier than rear so I normally put 2-3 psi more. Several psi above manual's recommendation should be ok. As ncsu-tc mention, you will get better mileage with higher pressure. The maximum for the stock tire is 40 psi when cold.

My Acura dealership would have believe that it should be 47 in the rear and 45 in the front. At least, that's how my car was delivered to me. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE!

they told you that? or is that how it came to you from the lot? When in transit the tirepressure is usually higher. Usual problems from transit are screwy alignment and high tire pressure. Both are ususaly fixed before delivery.

tires are over inflated during transport. Dealer is suppose to check them during delivery but it seems they ALWAYS forget. Isnt that what destination charges pay for

I run 33 front, 31 rear.

I found out about a week after I picked up the car. I thought the car was riding a bit rough so I came here and searched the forums. I found that some cars were sold with the tire pressure still high from transport so I checked mine and sure enough, I had that problem. I wasn't exaggerating either....the rear tires were right around 47 psi. I am in the process of writing a letter to Acura about this problem as well the "flood" in my car that was caused by the AC hose not being connected.

Running a little higher is fine..but not too high that your tires' contact patch also decreases. Make sure the left-right tires have exactly the same pressure, so you won't get a "pull" on your alignment (different front -rear pressure is okay) . I tend not to run it too high (only a few psi above recommended) since the ride is too harsh when I drive on crappy LA downtown streets

Man, I had the tire shop set it at 35 all around (I have an '00 V6 Accord) and the next day I felt much less grip (I now have 33/31). I remember at one intersection I braked kinda hard and the car skidded forward. not a nice controlled skid, but one where I felt the car was bounce/gliding to a stop! that was scary as I thought I'd rear end the car in front of me. Bottom line: I'd take more grip and less mpg than run the chance of the above happening again
