I haven't really read enough posts on tinting to find out if there was ever a solution to the rubber seal inside the door.

Secondly if anyone lives in or near the cities of Chicago, Cincinnati, or Urbana-Champaign, let me know if there are any reputable places to get 15% tints done all around (cept windshield) and how much the cost will be. My friend said he got his Maxima tinted for around $250 back in Cincinnati, is that a good deal? I figure the tsx will have around that much window space.

 

i just got my car tinted on monday. i paid $150 for the whole job, although i forgot to tell him to do the top of the windshield also. it's 32% and looks great -- he seemed to have no problem getting it done and i love that he didn't cut out the back window light area like i've seen on some cars.

has anyone tinted their sunroof glass too? i may make a second trip to him if he can do it.

btw--i'm in atlanta, so i can't refer anyone to you, but most places quoted me $150 - $175
(dealership wanted $265)

I had my TSX done in Mobile, Alabama for $170 with LUMAR 35% film. That included all the windows and a strip across the top of my windshield. They were able to get the tint under the seal without taking the door apart or folding the seal down into the door. I have had the tint for about a month now with absolutely no problems or scratches. Since I have a SSM TSX with ebony interior, I think it looks sharp and helps a lot to keep the interior cool when the car is parked. Bottom line, I am very happy with the job they did.
