I have been leary about getting my windows tinted because of all the talk about the felt and scratch that happen. I went to a place on LI that does car tinting and the guy told me that after he looked at my car and inside my window that I have felt and I should have no problem and he claims he uses a high quality tint. He did say if dirt would get in between my window it could scratch when the window goes up and down but that's only if dirt got trapped in between but most likely would not happen! The place is Car Tunes in farmingdale on Route 110 any get there TSX done there I have an SS 05'

I have my 2005 tinted and have not had any problems with scatches. Don't know the place that you are talking about, but the 2005 should have no problems with tint.

Did u have any of the factory weather sealers removed from the car that u know of? Why do people post things about mole skins when it comes to tinting?

No, didn't have anything removed or mole skins added. Some people decided to make sure the tint doesn't scratch so they installed mole skins. I don't like this option. Only problem is the adhesive comes off onto the window when it is hot out. Really messy. I just asked the dealer and he told me that I would be fine and I have been so far.

I have tints on my car, didnt have problems until about 3 months after them, now every window when it goes down slightly scratches. THe dealer lubed it up and that helped for about a couple weeks, now its starting to come back.
Its a little frustrating but I dont drive with my windows down too much anyways
