Why not just get a TSX with nav and use that screen for all your video? Is the position of that screen a problem? Cool install though.

1. beacuse i'm 18 and I couldn't afford the cost of the Navi
2. This set up not only looks nicer; it keeps the screen out of the view of people outside; its illegal to have that screen on while driving (if its playing video)

Screen is not a problem at all; its actually perfect. Sooner or later when i can afford i'll pop in a navi from like pioneer or soemthing; a shit load nicer than the acura one (supposedly) 3D mapping and stuff.

ok I was wondering if you did the screen install yourself or if you had someone do it for you. If you did it yourself did you take any pictures when you did the screen install. I did an install just like it but it is no where as near as clean looking as yours is and I want to make it look like that. here is what mine looks like http://mytsx.home.comcast.net/screen_photos_page.htm

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind saying how much the install for the screen was cause I want to have mine done and want to know what to expect. Also what type of material is the area surrounding the screen.

Honestly the equipment ALL of its was purchased on E-bay. I took it to AVC in Winter Garden; the same shop that worked on my CL when I had it. I trusted them whole heartedly and probably paid them about 150 more than i'd find any where else. I did it because I knew they'd do a good job and take care of me. For example for some reason my DVD player is malfucntioning. It'll play soemthings and not others. I contacted sounddomain.com beacuse and they are going to exchange it without the fuss; and AVC is going to do the swap out there for me for free. (its not as simple as pulling it out; its actually mounted in the center armrest) in any case I spent around 800 for the install. That includes amp wiring kits the LOC converters; all the materials for the install including the wood for the box and the material for the fabrication around the screen, and the labor. Hell they even went in and took apart the bass control knob from MTX to custom mount it on the dash...

The screen surrounding is made out of wood wrapped in black vynal which to the untrained eye looks exactly like leather.

Is it a touchscreen or do you use a remote to navigate through the menus?

Thanks for the info. It makes sence spending the extra money on a place you know and trust, and I actually did think it was leather.
