Strange Dent question...
I have searched, but I am going to ask your opinion anyway. My car was parked outside my parents house this weekend and it got egged. In addition, they dented my rear quarter panel, I will try and take pictures tonight, but I want to describe the dent.
It looks as if someone took a flathead screwdriver with a 1/2" tip and drove then proceeded to hit it about 1/4" into my car. The dent is above the driver side wheel, about 3" from the truck, on the rear quarter panel. My thought is that they tried to throw a rock at the rear window and missed, but there is no scratches elsewhere on the car, just a small chip at the bottom of the dent.
The paint is chipped slightly. My question is can a body shop go in the truck, remove the trunk lining and pound back out the dent? The imperfect paint is something I can live with, but the dent is definitly noticable since it's on the curved part of the rear quarter panel.
I'll try and take a picture tonight, but can they pound out the dent without re-painting the entire quarter panel?

option 1: paintless dent repair
option 2: body shop
pdr is much cheaper than any body shop...usually $100-$150. might want to call around and ask if they can fix that type of dent for you.

My mother just got 2-3 dents repaired for about $180. One of the dents they couldn't fix though, was because it was either on a 'seam' where the back wheel flare and side paneling angled....so maybe, maybe not. If you can do PDR.
