hey guys what is a stock number? My dealer called me today and told me that my car is inbound withint 7 to 10 days? and he said I got a stock number? is that the same as a VIN?

stock number is what the dealer uses to keep track of a car and to differentiate what is the model of the car. Few dealers use VINS as a stock number. Most dealers will use their own system (stock number) to keep track of the cars on the lot.
