Starting from 3rd gear in standstill accidentally!

i accidentally started in 3rd gear thinking that i was in 1st from standstill. My car started to rumble (but no pinging sound).
at first i thought i was in 1st so i let go of the clutch fast, and the car bucked forward and backward badly and the rpm went to idle....
but it didnt stall.

i was wondering how bad this was. did i damage the tranny badly? is this lugging?

Don't worry, you didn't do any damage. Btw, you did press on the clutch when you realized it was in the wrong gear. right?

well...by the time i noticed, the rpm was already in optimum range for 3rd gear so i just went off in 3rd...lol

the car did buck alot though. hope this wasnt a shock to the tranny or enough lugging to do damage.

If you were slipping the clutch while doing this, no harm done.
