Me personally - i like coilovers - reasoning behind that is you can always change the ride height to whatever you want.

Maybe down the road you want to change you stance - you can adjust and all you would need to do is have a alignment redone.

I'm on Megan springs right now and I can't wait to get coilovers. I recommend just getting the coilovers

Whats so bad about lowering your car with just springs? Is it the ride thats bad? Or is it the damage the springs do to your car?

Springs will eventually cause premature wear on your stock shocks.

Coilovers are the way to go like what everyone says

Do it right the first time and get coils. I'm planning to get some used Tien Basics once I see some go on sale.

Coilovers are definitely the way to go. The adjustability really ends up paying for itself. If you get springs, you're stuck with the height they give you. If you don't like it, there's not much you can do about it. Springs also reduced the longevity of the OEM shocks as they are not designed to handle lowering springs. You're going to be happier with coilovers. When I first began modding cars, I made the mistake of going with springs to save money and I just wasn't happy with the ride height, so I ended up getting coilovers a couple months later. Like orange7 said, "do it right the first time".

We have Tein's in stock and ready to go. Let me know if you would like a quote or anymore info on them.

I've had luck with both honestly. My only problem with Springs is like everyone else said above, you can't alter the ride height and depending on where you live and your personality, that can be problematic.

I haven't had Coil overs since the 90's (LOL I'm dating myself here) and I'm sure technology updates and the use of better materials has made them easier to use but man, they were a pain to get "right". Back then I had a shop and had access to plenty of tools, a lift and much more time than I do now to spend on tweaking them. Now that I'm old and have kids and my new to me 3g TL is basically my DD, I'm going to call XLR8 and order some H&R's or Tein Spring's just to make it easier. I also live in a harsh climate (Maine) so the salt and sand on the road wreaks havoc on the components. But, I will tell you that when I hand over this car to my kiddo when she get's her license and get a newer 4g TL or 08' Type S, I'll most likely go with Coil Overs just so i can go that much lower during the 3 seasons that allow me too. Anyway, good luck man. I'm sure you'll be stoked with whatever you choose and congrats on the new TSX. Stoked for you!
