Thumbs down Spit

Yup. Someone at the Bailey's Gold's Gym decided to spit on my car. I parked right in font and when I came out there was some spit running down the side.

Thanks for that.

Same thing happened to me about 4 years ago in Georgetown - I was parallel parked on a Saturday night around M and 30th and when I got back from dinner, I found the same thing. I think a passenger on some car just lowered their windows from a car on the roadway and spat out without thinking it might hit someone/something.

I hate people that spit in public. It's disgusting.

There aren't that many kids or teenagers that go to my gym that I have seen. I've been going to this location for the past 2 years. This morning there were no kids in there so it was a "grown up" who decided to act like a 10 year old.

There was plenty of space other than at my car he/she could have spat in the direction of.

Just because you're 30 doesn't mean you aren't a kid.

Eww

I can't stand when people spit in public. I don't care if it's on the sidewalk or not, it's just gross.

Hmm...I spit in public, not on cars, but usually in an inconspicuous place like in bushes or grass and I defintly don't do it in front of people, especially chicks.

sometimes i spat too.. @@ but obviously, not on ppl.. or carssss..

however, i did do something to a car that parked behind years ago, who scratch my R bumper...................
How do i know its him, that car?
I was only gone for like 10-15 mins, and the space behind me too small for another car to park, so i left with a peaceful mind. But somehow, that person manage to squeeeze the car into the spot behind me.
Plus, i saw my car's paint on his license plate.

i waited for 10 mins to see if that person shows up. but no. So i pour a drink, that i m sure will be hard to wash away when dried, on his driver side door and handle.

Not that I'm accusing anyone of anything, but...

People who park so that it makes it difficult for others to park next, front or to the rear of you when there is a legit space next, front or to the rear is an a-hole. It's like parking diagonally in a perpendicular space so no one will ding the car. When you do that, you're just asking for someone to mess with your car.

But guess what, some people look that as an "a-hole" move and parking a car like that just attracts attention, and is a magnet for 'unadult-like' behavior, if you know what I mean..

Let's face it, being on this forum, we can all be accused of being a "anal ding nervous breakdown" type people who go ape$hit anytime someone dings the car.

Rules I follow are,

1. Always park on a spot next to a curb, end space, or place where people won't walk by your car.

2. Don't take up two spaces.

3. Don't park so that it makes it difficult for others to park near you.

4. When all else fails, park at the far end of the lot.

5. Park next to a guy who parks away from everyone. Chances are that that guy will not ding your car as he is anal also.

False on that one.
I'm one of those people who 99% of the time parks out in Timbuktu to avoid some asshat dinging my door, and I'm livid when some genius decides he has to park right next to me when there are a million other spaces out in the middle of nowhere where I am.

I parked out in Antarctica for a reason....so someone WOULDN'T park by me.

I always park far away or in a spot that has a lot of room, but ONE time my gf was like, "just park close, you're ALWAYS too careful with your car"... so i just park somewhere close and when i leave the resturant i see someone had scraped their bumper on my rear bumper while backing out!... pissed me off!!!! LESSON LEARNED

I made the mistake of doing something like this also.....ended up getting a small ding on my door. Now no matter how tempting a close spot is, I always make sure I am way away from everyone.

Unless if that someone is a douchebag, he probably did that since he thought that you're anal also (considering that you parked out in the boonies) and don't want people dinging your car. In that case, that guy who parked out in the boonies with you probably would not ding your car either. (especially when it is a clean car.)

If it is like a Comcrap work van or a beater with dings on it, then yes, he is an a hole.

And yes, I actually had a Comcrap van park right next to me in the boonies. I think he didn't like the fact that I was driving a "non American" car.

+1

Anyone who parks in two spaces is just asking for trouble. I can't believe how much more I have noticed this recently. Sometimes it isn't people's fault because some places make their parking spots so small only a Fit or Smart car can fit in them. This one shopping center in my area, I have to park the car a 4 feet from the front curb because no one can get out of their cars because how small the spaces are.

Funny you say that, Went to local grocery store with a buddy of mine who has a newer decked out Saleen mustang, we park way out in the furthest part of the parking lot to avoid door dings, when we came out there is a huge lifted truck with mudders parked sooooo close we cant get the driver side door open, Im expecting my friend to hit the roof but he calmly gets in on the passenger side pulls the car out and before i could ask him what he was doing he pulls out a valve stem removal tool and takes every single valve from the truck and hops back in the car lol.

No permanent damage but i bet that guy had a hell of a time getting back to normal.

LOL...that's funny. I think I should carry one of those tools in my car. It'll definitely give the other person a hard time.

No permanent damage depending on how long the truck was sitting there until the pressure was taken off of the tires' sidewalls.

Funny story, though!
