A-spec question
I picked up my TSX two weeks ago and have not seen another A-spec on the road... So I did a search here and found a pic that had me scratching my head... On my car the dealer placed the emblem just under the "TSX" on the top right of the trunk... Then here I found the pic with it on the lower right of the trunk.. What's the right spot?

I would post pics but dont really know how..

I'm pretty sure the badge is supposed to be below the right taillight.
Ask the dealer for the installation instructions; they will show the "correct" location, although 99.99% of the world doesn't even know what an A-Spec package is. I would guess a large percentage of TSX owners don't even know, only the ones that cruise the message boards.
I'm sure it doesn't look bad where it is now, even if it turns out to be "wrong"...
I took all my badges off, people are always asking me what kind of car it is....

just debadged my car yesterday... looks so damn clean... after i get my a-spec suspension kit i am going to put on the a-spec badge. even if it does go above the tail light i think it looks better below. I know someone's gonna say "you took off your badges and are going to put an a-spec one on?" i know it sounds kinda weird, but the a-spec badge is much smaller than you think. It ads a nice little accent to the back.

Did Laz not get the 17 A-spec wheels as part of his package? The A-spec logo, according to the instructions I got from my A-spec suspension has the logo going in the bottom left of the trunk. I am getting my A-spec suspension kit installed today and will post before and after pictures.

Do you guys know if you can order the TSX A-Spec wheels and the lid spoiler individually? I e-mailed my dealer and he wasn't aware of selling individual parts of the TSX A-spec package.

Yes, some dealers are selling the A-spec package in pieces. LannyM and myself got the suspension package from a dealership in CA for $575. This dealership also sells the A-spec wheels. To my knowledge an A-spec lip/deck spoiler hasn't been released. I had my dealership look up the part # and one doesn't exist. I ended up purchasing the M3 spoiler on ebay and paint matching it.

no offense, but i can't tell the diff between the a-spec tsx and mine wen it was stock with the oem kit. and i thought that the wheels HAD to be a part of the package...
i'm so confused, but 800 for a spec suspension. no thanks. i would rather buy the tein or mugen suspensions for that much.

I agree, I don't think $800 is worth it but I do think $575 is, especially when it doesn't void the warranty. I thought about getting the Mugen suspension for $1000 but why pay that much when you can get a sporter ride for half as much and still keep your warranty.

Where does High-performance come into play with the A-spec pkg.?

the upgraded wheel package and the "sport" suspension.
in reality, nothing.
my friend recently bought a 330ci with the m package (sort of equivalent to our a spec package) except he got different exhuast, a new 6 speed tranny...etc etc, ya know, REAL performance upgrades.

I didn't get the rims because I had my eye on a really nice set of get gun metal ones... And the A-spec rims are really 18" and also have to get tires.. Not like that means anything but it is what it is.

For those interested in the A-spec suspension install guide, here it is. I just got mine completed from a local dealership (4 hrs labor + alignment). The TSX drives much more agressively than on stock suspension. The handling is much tighter and I don't get as much of a noise dive when braking. I definitely feel more control taking tight corners.

Notice that the instructions have the Honda Performance tag being placed on the bottom left of the trunk.
From the other A-spec vehicles I have seen (TL, RSX), I think the tag looks much better on the bottom right (sorry Laz).

this thread should be proof that the whole a-spec package from dealers is bogus.....most dealers just consider the OEM body kit and a badge the "a-spec" kit......LAME

The angle is not the greatest shot to show the drop. As soon as my digital camera gets recharged, I'll post some pictures of my install. Also, the drop is very suttle (about 1 inch) so it may not make that much of a difference to the naked eye.

OZ Chrono Evolutions 17x7 on Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S03 215-45-17.
They were on my old 02 ABP RSX Type-S. I am waiting until the tread goes so I can purchase a new set. I probably go to 225-45-17 instead of 215-50-17.
