Sound System upgrade on a budget

Sound System upgrade on a budget
To begin I would like to let everyone know that my knowledge of car audio systems and the way that they work is minimal.
I have a 2005 tsx and I would like to upgrade the sound system. my budget is only about 600 dollars.
The quality of the current system in my car is acceptable but I would like it to be a. much louder and b. have the bass pack more punch
Unless installation is very simple I would almost surely need to have it installed so try to keep those fees in mind.
So.. what do you suggest?
Thanks alot guys and sorry if youve seen a million sound system upgrade threads before. Im just trying to get some opinions on where my money is best spent

The best way to upgrade the sound quality of the TSX, if you are interested in fidelity -- and and not just "bass boom", is to replace the OEM speakers with speakers that are more capable of good tonal reproduction. I believe there is at least one DYI article in acurazine on replacing the speakers.
I consider the TSX to be a poor candidate for conversion to a "boom car" -- so have no suggestions for that.

Getting good sound in the TSX is not at all difficult.
I spent about $300 on my upgrade and it sounds awesome.
I changed the front door speakers to:
Infiniti 652i 6 1/2's $60 new old stock
Wal mart 8 ga wire kit $30
Used MTX Thunder 8302 amp $60
MTX EBC Bass control knob for cabin (a must have using stock radio) $30
(1) JL Audio 10w1 factory refurb (as new) $70
New Small sealed Enclosure to exact JL airspace $30
Speaker adapters $10
Line out converter (PAC SNI1) $10
The rest was just my time to install everything.
I removed the rear 6x9's as they are useless with a sub.
I have an ear for good sound and this stereo sounds very balanced and clear. The sub can get loud when you want it, or completely musical for everyday use. Only other thing I could recommend is to replace rear doors if you have another $60 or so in your budget.
I performed all labor myself, so expect approx 150 or so in labor at your local shop. If you have any questions just ask. I will post a couple photos later for reference.

I just bought these Alpine SPS-600 speakers from Al and Eds Autosound to replace my OEM speakers. I installed them.

I hear too much crackling sound in my front right speaker so I decide to replace both the front left and right speakers. I was wondering if I should definitely expect better quality of sound than my OEM front speakers? I still have OEM speakers, woofer, and tweeters in the back. Thanks for your comments.
