Soon-to-be-TSX-owner... needs help!

Calling all Acura sales people and managers out there. I'm located in the northern NJ area, and am looking to trade-in my 2004 Civic EX (58,000mls) for a 2008 TSX Lease.

Please lemme know if there are any deals to be had out there.
Thanks!

There aren't many sales people here, it's mainly enthusiasts. I recommend you email all the internet managers at the dealers you are willing to travel to, and begin negotiations.

Where would I begin with negotiations? Any dealerships in the area, known to be good/fair?

Oh, and does the 6-speed cost less than the automatic? Or same?

You can check out acura.com and do a dealer search for your area. I'm in Central Jersey and use Precision Acura in Princeton. Here are a few dealers in NJ off the top of my head:

DCH Montclair Acura
Park Ave. Acura
Bridgewater Acura
Open Road Acura - Wayne
Acura of Ramsey
Springfield Acura
Acura of Ocean (might be too far for you)

I'm not sure about pricing right now, since I'm not looking to buy/lease, but you can check out the current pricing thread (use the search button up top). They should be very willing to deal since the 2009 models are coming out in April. 2008s will be scarce pretty soon.

Also, welcome to the site and good luck with your purchase.

The transmission choice has no influence on the sticker price. You're going to have a real hard time finding a 6mt, particularly if you're set on a color and even more so if you want the nav. Acura stopped taking new orders for the TSX in December so the inventory that's out there now is all you've got to choose from.

I just purchased last night, this is a good time as there are still many choices availible and they are willing to deal and give you very close to if not invoice. I emailed both and got an internet quote, which is usually a great price for starting negotiations. The quotes I got via the internet were indicitive of them not fooling around and wanting to get rid of the TSX's.

I'm not stuck on either 6mt or NAv, but 6mt would be nice.

Great advise! I just went ahead and completed some online quotes from 2-3 local dealerships... let's see what they come back with

If you're remotely interested in the performance of the car, you'll want the 6mt. Ask any one here, it makes a dramatic difference.

How do you like it? Do they have paddle shifters?

No, no paddle shifters.

I'd start negotiating around 28K for a navi unit. I paid that for my 07 almost a year ago, and it wasn't the last year of the car. If you pay a penny over $28K, you're being ripped off.
