Angry Someone hit me!!!

I picked up my new car Wednesday, and Friday afternoon some idiot hit me!!! I was slowing down at a yield sign at a red light, and this car nails me from behind. I'm glad they had insurance, but what a ridiculous pain in the arse considering I waited 2 months to get the car. It looks pretty bad, and it will probably be three weeks or so before claim gets finalized. I would have kicked her arse, but she was pregnant.......kidding of course.

Sorry to hear that!

If someone hit my brand new TSX the only thing that would save their life is if they ran away while I was crying.

That really sucks. No airbags went off or anything? I hope everything turns out ok and from the tone of which you wrote, it seems like no one got hurt, which is a good thing. What kind of car does she have?

I'm very sorry to hear that mista. Since misery loves company, just know that I crashed my CL-S last Wednesday and it won't be ready until the end of July. And the accident was my fault. On top of it, the TSX I have been waiting for has arrived at the dealer and I can't pick it up until my trade-in is out of the shop. Finally, I crashed my car right in front of my house as I was leaving to take my CL-S to the dealer for its last oil change. I also crashed the car when I took it to the dealer for its FIRST oil change. Needless to say, I'll be relieved when I get rid of the cursed CL-S. Feel better I hope?

Jackspat2- No airbags went off. I was the only one in the car. She was driving a 2003 Camry so I'm sure she felt bad about it also. No one is hurt except my TSX, and wife's head from my constant whining in the last 24 hours.

Jason - I think your situation may be worse than mine. I hope the dealer doesn't devalue your trade because of it. I think maybe you sould start changing the oil yourself!

Well I hope you feel better about your situation then. I was very upfront with my dealer and told him all about it, and he said not to worry, they were giving me such a low value to begin with, that it really couldn't get any lower. So I guess that's good. That and I bet your deductible isn't $1000 like mine. Feel better? I know I sure feel great right now!

That sucks. I hate the thought that I can get nailed like that too, just because some moron doesn't pay attention while driving. I just wish they take a taxi.

Sorry to hear about that Mista. You'd figure that a pregnant woman would be a bit more careful. Any ideas what caused her to rear end you? Did she lose concentration?

Don't want to sound like I'm bashing anybody, but I expected more cautious driving from her.

Anyways, lucky nobody is hurt.

Thanks for asking Jason....The damage was at the bottom of the rear bumper so just that section was repaired and repainted so you can't even tell. I had it done at 5 Star Auto Construction in Dundee.

$1000 Deductible? Good lord...I'm glad I live here in Canada where auto insurance rates are reasonable!

Jason, I'm gonna warn ya right now...go get a bucket because you're gonna puke when you hear what my deductible is...are you ready?

$100 Decuctible

Yep...just $100!!! Also, I have $50 Deductible on glass (for road hazard...$0 Dedcutible for vandalism). I have also purchased replacement insurance on my TSX, so that if I write off the car within the first year, they will replace my TSX witha brand new vehicle (the only thing they won't guarantee is the colour)

I LOVE CANADA!!!

Have a good one!

Hey Jase, make him put the nomination OVER THERE!!!

Actually, Clutch, I don't think Jason wants to win for this one. He's a liberal.

Not necessarily Larch. I'm a Republicrat. I am neither Liberal nor Conservative. Freedom of all choices, and don't tax me too much. Allow anything as long as it doesn't infringe on other's rights, and G-d Bless America while being pro-business!

Interesting, makes sense. Although I'd rather you'd said "Demlican."

In the politics that I've grown up with, though, your combination of views hasn't worked very well in picking candidates and policies -- e.g. working in the real political world and favoring the things that you do, pretty fast you wind up supporting higher taxes and often going "against" business. (I'm foreshortening and oversimplifying an obviously complex subject, but really, that's what it has amounted to, bottom-line-wise and practically speaking.) Granted, things are probably in the process of getting reshuffled, and maybe new constellations and combinations are on the horizon.

I know you never said anything about "candidates and policies." But I can't help thinking in terms of those.
