Soda spill in back seat
My gf left a 12-can case of diet soda on the backseat (by the right side seat). Like an idiot, I didn't bother to put it in the trunk. Coming home from work today I noticed the case was magically opened, and I saw a little wet spot on the seat. When I got to pull out the case of soda, I noticed that the immense heat caused two of the soda cans to explode and they were completely empty. Therefore, the soda must have leaked all over the seat. It must have seaped down really good because I didn't see any significant amounts of soda.
As you can imagine, I am very pissed? I immediately washed the leather seat down with some lexol leather cleaner wipes that I had in the trunk, but i'm concerned about any further damage. Help.. what should i do now?

Thats why I never have any sort od drinks in the car. Sorry to hear your pain. I guess you learned your lesson and will never do it again. Sometimes you got to learn the hard way.

Yikes. I'd ask the gurus in the Wash & Wax section what they'd do: https://acurazine.com/forums/wash-wax-23/

I got that beat. In my old car, I left a bottle of clothes detergent in my backseat.... in Florida. The plastic container partly melted and the entire thing went onto my seat. My backseat was full (a large puddle, not entirely seeped in) of All Detergent. It never came out and I've had it washed professionally as well as my own attempts. That's a lesson I learned quick...

One of my "Air freshner" Leaked & exploded when I left it in the rear cup holder. There's permanent bumps all over the center fold, and parts of the rear seat.
Talk about a lesson learned the hard way.

I'd be concerned with the foam padding of the seat - it's probably saturated and in dire need of rinsing/cleaning and a complete air-dry.
Try to remove the bottom seat, then the leather cover, and clean the foam. Also, the metal below the padding as it's probably stick with pop residue.

And maybe the cans were already almost empty?

Well it is official.. the soda did evaporate... I was scrutinizing every part of the vehicle's interior and I noticed faint soda stains on the hard plastics and some faint stains on the roof lining. I even saw some faint stains by the homelink plastic area.. I easily wiped away those stains I saw on the plastics. I am going to get the car detailed at my local Acura dealership. They are charging $129.99 for a full interior/exterior detail. This sucks.
