Whoa, it must have been pretty bad. My manager works from home in LA, and she actually said it was bad enough that she was going to go offline for fear of power spikes. Sorry to hear about the car man. Hope you've got a low deductable comprehensive on it...

called allstate,, they would cover it,,, under comprehensive.. and i have 500 dollars deductable. The guy that I used before was from dentwizard.com he performed on miracles on dents on my tsx before... and ill just call him straight to come to my house. Already made appointment for this weekend... if everything is good, he should be able to take care of it in a few hours......

only reason i trust him is i used him before on dents.. if any of you guys have dents. let me know... ill let u guys know what happen after saturday... freaking dents on my roof is gonna be a bitch to get to, he said he would have to take down part of the roof lining to get to it.. but i suppose thats better than body shop taking the whole thing off and sand, paint.. at least this way i retain all factory seal...

Good idea. I think the hard part would be finding 2 other people to help. Creative though.

Good thing your insurance will cover it... but if you're going with paintless dent repair, it shouldn't be too much more than $500, no?

And just outta curiousity, were there any other cars in the lot next to yours? If so, did you see if any of 'em were damaged as well?

When crap like that happens to me, I take it as an opp to make a silver lining for myself. After I drove through spilled paint in my Teg, I got it repainted but added a type-R front lip. I told the wife this is the best opportunity to do what I wanted to the car and that it would make me feel much better. And it did

Might be a good time to get a carbon fiber hood??

That sucks for you dude. We've been getting a lot of hail here in Missouri the past several years. I've had two cars get hammered over the past two years -- neither a TSX since I haven't bought mine yet. If it's as bad as you say expect it to cost closer to $1,000. BTW, those "dent doctor" things do work pretty decent -- but it's a lot of work.

Ouch! That's the thing i'm most worried about happening that i can't control any at all. When i first drove her home about 20 seconds after i parked into the garage, all of the sudden hail just started pouring down like crazy. Man... that was a close one.
But your situation hurts to even think about that. I hope you can get your car 100% back to normal again.

Is your body shop guy a regular body shop person? Or do they do Paintless dent removal too?

Whaaaa.....

Hail in SoCal? I was out of town this weekend and my TSX was parked outside (in Long Beach). I didn't notice any dents but there was beaded water all over my TSX so I'm not sure I would have. You have me really worried. Now I need to check it out closely when its dry.

:gulp:

It was definitely crazy yesterday. Fortunately, there was no hail where I was at the time (Brea). Just a massive down pour and lightning. I even actually saw lighting strike close up. It was so loud and struck a palm tree about 100 yards from me. Totally charred the top of the tree.

Howard, I hope you get your TSX fixed in time for the meet on 11/19.

was in my car during the hail, too!

Hey Howard,

I was right in my car, too, when it started hailing. I couldn't believe it! I'm in San Fernando Valley. I thought, c'mon this is L.A., how can this be!? I think it probably messed up my car, too, but...it's only a toyota corolla, 1988. so fortunately for me, I don't care. However, I am planning to buy a TSX, which is why I'm on this forum. It hurt me just imagining you seeing those weird, "must be green-house effect," ice cubes pummeling your car. I could only think, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW movie. And I woulda been wailing had it been my TSX.

Hey, just in case for future ref, what is the contact info for your dent guy? I mean, with this freaky weather, who knows?

i will check the phone number and let you guys know.. dent guy that is..

ok update

went to body shop, over 1000 damage with 500 deductable, need 3-4 days at bodyshop. as for dent wizard guy, he does dents, so he say he can knock it out 2-3 hours to half day. maybe around 350 bucks. Body shop can claim enough that i only have to pay 2-300 bucks deductable, dent wizard guy just gonna charge me around 300 bucks so its pertty even. I'm planning go claim through my insurance company and just have them cut me a check minus my 500 deductable, then I cn just pay the dentwizard guy and no money out of my pocket...

man this sucks, normally I keep my car sprkle clean.. now i havent even washed or clean my car after the storm is over, haha see what this dent is doing to me.

Dent wizard guy can get to dents on hood. trank no problem as long as they aer not too close to the edge of body panel. The roof one will be the trouble, he can get to it after he remove the inside lining and lower the sunroof he says then he can get to it. When i asked him so is that good or bad?

He said a car with sunroof is actually better for dent removal cause ther is that extra space for him to work with.... will keep updated

If you trade it in on an 06 TSX, keep the rims.

If you trade it in on an 06 330i, let me drive it.

This happened to me in 1992/1993 to my RX-7 . . . .Looked like someone had taken a soft ball and bounced it off of every horizontal surface of the car about 100 times. . .hood, trunk, tops of fenders, you name it . . . .the hood on the RX-7 was aluminum, so just imagine the damage . . . .But, every panel that was damaged was replaced . . .It was all covered under insurance . . .In fact, several body shops in the area (on Long Island) were advertising "Was Your Car Damaged in The Hail Storm" . . . .Good luck . . . .
