side airbag off indicatior
it just started to happen that i see my side airbag off indacator just turned on for no reason 2 times today, 1st time: i parked my car at neutral while waiting for the car wash in the line up, 2nd time: when i reversing my car back in parking. can anyone tell me what happened? it's still a brand new car, but what went wrong? anyone had the same problem? i am afraid it's gonna happen more frequent as time goes by.

the side airbag light comes on usually when u or the passenger are leaning on the door....the liight just tells you that its disabling the side air for safety...

Perfectly normal for this to happen. If it senses that something may impede the airbag's deployment or you have an inanimate object in the seat that it senses, it will throw this light.
If there were to be a problem with the OPDS (occupant position detection sensor) unit, it would turn on your airbag and SRS lights on your gauge cluster. If these lights are not turned on and staying lit, your car is operating normally. The airbag and SRS lights are the ones you look to to indicate a malfuntion of the SRS components, not the "side airbag off" light.
