something weird has happened.. whenever i start my engine, i hear 3 or 4 unnormal beeps and the sideairbag light blinks a few times. I'm not sure how this happened... any ideas? I'll bring it into the dealership soon.

 

Is there anybody in the passenger seat at the time? Or do you have anything such as a briefcase in the seat at the time? If so, it could be the back sensors detecting an improper sitting position which will prevent the passenger side airbags from deploying. If not, then I'm with you on getting it to the dealer.

 

actually i think this started to occur when i went to the um GPS info screen if thats what you call it (the one when you press map/menu/cancel alltogether) and then this started happening i think?

 

This is funny. The side air bag light has nothing to do w/ the Navi. A lot of people thinks the whole car is controlled by the Navi.

The prob is something wrong w/ the airbag. bring it to Acura.
Be happy it isnt a ECU code.

 

Better wear a helmet when you drive, just in case.
