Should moving to Canada affect a Navi decision?

Hi - While I anxiously wait to find the right pre-owned TSX (looking for an unmodded MT, '06 or newer), I'm still trying to determine the extent to which I want/need to get one with navigation. Question: should the fact that I'll likely be moving to Canada (from California) within a year influence this decision (i.e. does the nav work well up there?)?

Thanks,
Zain

I live in Canada, and have Navi, you just have to get a differnent DVD disc if you want. I have the american disc in and i can see all my streets in my city. Most of southern Canada will be on the american disc. If you are going way way north then u will need a Canadian disc. But i have found with the American disc, i don't get all the small towns and smaller highways in Canada. Hope that helps.

The Canadian software just gives you the option to use French. Otherwise it is the same. There are two maps available for North America. One is for the Northern US and Canada and the other is the southern US. If you are coming up from Cali, you'll need to have the former. The navi should have both disks with it. Mine came with both. If I ever get as far south as California, I simply have to throw the other disk in the dvd slot and I'm golden.

My 05 TSX (3.40c orange disc) allows me to choose US or Can software through the diagnostic screens. I'm surpirsed the 06's (white disc) doesn't allow you to do the same. Pressing Map, Menu and Cancel at the same time and holding it will take you to the diagnostic screen. Try looking into one of the sub menus from the main menu.

Choosing to load the US software changes all the setting from Metric to Imperial. Also lets me to choose male or female voice.
