Should I sell on Ebay?
Hey guys, I've got to sell my 05 TSX. Has anyone ever posted their car on Ebay? Did it sell easily?
My friend had tried to sell his car to dealers and on autotrader and never had any luck. Only wholesalers with lowball offers called him.
Can anyone offer advice on selling a relatively new car?
(ya, I'll get soaked on the deal)

Yeah, I sold two cars on ebay.
The first one was a 1990 Civic Hatchback. The dealer offered $150 for a trade in and I knew I could do much better because this car was very clean. BB value was something like $500 at the time. It sold for $1100 and the buyer was very reliable. Great experience.
I also tried to sell my friend's 1996 Chevy Blazer which was not in very good shape. It only got one bid (nobody wants an old SUV with gas prices these days). The seller was not very responsive and when we arranged for a place to meet, he never showed up. Unfortunately, I didn't require a deposit mainly because my friend did not have a paypal account and didn't want to deal with a check. I spent 2 weeks convincing ebay to refund my listing and selling fees. TERRIBLE experience, but I should have known not to try and sell such a complicated item that I did not own.
I would not recommend selling an expensive car like a TSX on ebay. There are too many people who look (and bid) who are not serious. I would only sell a car was not worth much and use a no reserve auction.

Ebay is great way to get exposure on your car, but it costs a minimum of $40
The problem is most people who bid are looking to get an insane deal (i.e. a $30,000 car for $24,000, etc.)
If you have reserve price, expect a million emails asking what it is.
