Shaved emblems?
Stokeless_TSX, 21_in_az, other who shaved your rear emblems.
How much does it cost generally to do all 3, how long and what kind of shops do that? Any problems w/ color matching, or painting the holes?

The "Acura" and "TSX" emblems are just glued on and you can remove them in your driveway with a hairdryer and some fishing line. The "A" emblem will have to have the holes patched. Sorry don't know how much that would cost....

yeah I really like the ACURA, right off the CL. Did you just put the U here the Acura emblem uesd to be? I want to go w/ no emblems and get some grill w/ nothing on the front.
You're getting cross-drilled rotors? I've heard they crack easily.
And any comments on painting the calipers? I'm planning on some cosmetic mods since its getting warmer here.

BRAKES: im not sure yet what to get.....either im going to get the full COMPTECH kit, or the stoptech kit once it is available. the calipers are simple to paint, just get paint that can handle up to 450 degree heat! SPRAY PAINT WONT WORK!
the holes on the trunk were coverd up by the "U" on the acura. simple.
the grill: GOOD LUCK! when you find one, let me know. i did mine, but it was a pain in the ass! MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS! ask stoke.....he put the mugen grill on, and he will have some storys for you! hahaha

as far as the painting process goes, for normal metal stuff I usually sand, use metal primer, then paint, sand, paint. is it a bad idea to lightly sand the exterior of the calipers, couldn't be worse than all the brake dust flying around.

You definitely don't want to sand the calipers. They're zinc plated to prevent corrosion. Just clean them really well and once they're dry use some rubbing alcohol to make sure the surface is free of any oil. Primer is a good idea though.

As far as the rear emblem, will the Honda badge fit in the same holes?
I know some of you would think it's gay to put Honda on the car, but I plan to JDM it as much as I can.

If you want to paint your brakes and make them look amazing get a paint made by SEM called "trim black" granted it is ONLY a flat black- however you DO NOT need to use primer, it will hold up for years and years and once you use it once you will want to paint everything you can get to! It makes even a novice painter look like they are a pro. You'll need to go to a parts store that sells a lot body work accessories and parts- you will not find this at Pep boys. It is worth the struggle if you don't mind black brakes.

I was also thinking of removing the badges but living in an area where there TSXs are rare I decided to leave it on so others know what type it is.

i think my "A C U R A" looks alot better than the "A" symbol. IMO.
