Seattle Acura Dealers

Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a while and I'm planning on finally buying myself a new TSX. I also have a friend on here, rmpage, who I convinced to get a TSX back in '04 and now its about time I got my own!

I'm planning on buying a TSX after I move to Seattle later this week and find an apartment. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a dealership or sales contact in the Seattle area that could help me out.

I submitted a request for a quote from Acura of Seattle and one of the sales reps basically told me he was insulted that I wanted to discuss price over email (he was part of their internet consulting team??) and that I was wasting his valuable time as a "professional sales consultant." He also wanted to charge me $172 for floor mats (acura website says $132 I think) and $562 for the trunk tray and wheel locks???

I'm hoping that experience was the exception as I thought it was fairly common to get quotes over the internet and that even if asking for a quote over email was inappropriate he would've handled the situation with a bit more tact. Needless to say, I won't be going back through him but hopefully some of you Seattle folk can recommend a good sales person who will treat me right. Thanks!

check out the Acura of Lynnwood. They got way better service than any other acura dealer.

Yea, check out Acura of Lynnwood. They will give you cheapest price around. Also, those trunk trays and wheel locks are almost like "standard." They all come with new TSX and I don't believe you should pay extra for them.

Good luck hunting!

I can tell you who not to contact and that would be Hinshaw's Acura in Fife. Bunch of jackasses and a terrible service dept. I was also not impressed with Acura of Seattle when I was shopping my '04.

Those two dealerships caused me to buy in Spokane, where I had a great experience and got a fair deal on what was a hot car at the time. The only experience I've had with Acura of Lynnwood is for service and it was an okay experience.

Good luck and welcome to the Puget Sound.

Acura of Lynnwood seems to be the most mod friendly dealer than the rest in the area. They sell modified new cars with intake, header, Comptech SC. etc. and warranty them.

Never been to Acura of Lynwood. Acura of "Seattle" was scarily like a used car dealership in terms of the sales staff. Bought 2 Acuras at Acura of Bellevue. Nothing stellar. Nothing bad. Just solid.

Yes. Also a great dealer for service. Every time we've been in, they greet us by first name before we even reach the desk. Customer service is great there.

Buy Extra Online ??

Those are the same three extras we got with our 2007 NBP MT TSX.

And while I don't remember the exact price, they were far below what that dealer said.

And, since little or no real install is required for those three extras, you can get the OEM versions online for far less, anyway.

I got all those extras for free and so did many other people. I think that's the protection package. You just have to ask for it.

I spoke today with Peter Kim from Acura Bellevue and he was actually pretty nice. When he found out I was just moving to Seattle he told me to take my time and get used to the city before worrying about getting a car and to get in touch when I was ready. Far better than Acura of Seattle where they asked about 10 times to schedule an appointment to come in and see them.

Peter did say they were having a sale on the 07s for 2 1/2% above cost. I think thats still pretty high? I remember reading other threads where people were getting 07s for under 28k.

I went to Acura of Seattle first because it was the closest to my house. They didn't have the TSX that I wanted but wouldn't offer to locate one for me. They threated me like I was invisible. If the pre-sale is this bad, just imagine the service after the sale.

Well, I just drove home my brand new 2008 Royal Blue Pearl/Parchment Automatic Tsx with navigation. I got it through Hinshaw Acura from Jesse Peterson. Really nice to work with, no BS whatsoever. He even drove the 40 miles during the middle of traffic (I think it took him like 2 hours 1 way) to pick me up and then treated me to an ice cream on the way back to the dealership. I went through the 3 other dealerships first since they were much closer but Jesse was by far the most pleasant to work with. Highly recommended and I love the car! I'll try to post pictures at some point but I don't have a camera.

We purchased our TSX from them, as well. Peter Kim. Great experience, good price, low pressure.

But I think the service department is a mixed bag. I like Lynwood better because Bellevue really pushes its own service schedule (3500/7500/etc) and not the manual/maintance minder service intervals. No loaner for an oil change. But I will say that the Bellevue techs are pretty good.

Edit: Wow. That was a pretty quick purchase. Congrats!

I tried going through Peter initially as they had the same car but an 07. He seemed pretty nice but he didn't give me that good a price. I got the 08 from Jesse for only $400 more than what Peter quoted me for the 07.
