I don't notice it on mines, but the light just stays on when I don't wear the seatbelt sometimes.

Mines doesn't beep or flash. I don't always wear my seatbelt and I like the fact that the light just stays on. The '04 Accord there is a warning chime and flashing icon to make you wear your seatbelt. I am glad my TSX doesn't have that.

I think it only stays on for a few seconds and then the light stays on.

In a related question, is there any way to have the door open with the key in (just to power the stereo system) without it constantly beeping? That would be nice.

i don't think so... unless you bypass the door button that tells the car it's open

Maybe you test drove an Accord or Civic. I believe the new ones do that.

If you have it in RUN instead of ACC it doesnt beep.

Hm.. but then the fans run and kill your battery...
If you turn the A/C off and keep it in RUN, what else is different from ACC, in terms of power usage? Besides being able to open the windows and use the wipers and such... just wondering if I start using that mode just to use my radio, will it drain the battery?

If you don't secure your seatbelt after the car has started to move, it'll "bing" a few times and then stops for a minute or two, then "bings" again to remind you. It'll continue this until you put on your seatbelt.

Thankfully, it doesn't do this on the 04. I pretty much always wear my seatbelt anyway, but I find it to be an annoying feature on the newer models.

On my 06, it bings throughout the entire time I'm driving. It may stop after a long period of time, but I haven't taken my car on a road trip yet. It beeps a series of 5-6 beeps about every 5 minutes. Plus if I'm trying to make a call on my phone and the seatbelt alarm comes up, it transfers the call to my phone instead of through the bluetooth. I'm working on disabling it right now. I'm pretty sure you just have to snip a wire in the seatbelt buckle.
