Seat Position

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum but I have been stalking it for a while.

I've owned my 2006 TSX 6-speed for 3 months now and I'm still having trouble finding a comfortable seat position. I know this has been talked about on a few other threads but I was hoping to get some more discussion.

My right leg is always bothering me when I drive. Sometimes near my knee, other times higher up my leg. No matter what position I am in, it tends to bother me.

I have tried many different adjustments to the seat position and I can't figure it out. Currently I have the front of the seat all the way down and the back tilted up a bit. I'm 5'8" and I've never had this much trouble before.

Other than that I love my TSX :-) The bluetooth phone is amazing and the aux input is great. Thanks for the hint on getting XM cheap for the year, that worked great!

Thanks for your help.

Do you only get this pain when you are in your TSX? Do you get pain sitting in other cars/chairs etc? Have you tried adjusting the lumbar support on the side of the seat?

I keep my seat front tilted up a bit and the back of my seat back also, and the lumbar most of the way out.........then again, I have back problems. This position is very comfortable for me and I've had no problems with a stiff back on long trips like I've had with other vehicles..........Just keep trying different positions, the adjustments are really versatile........

If you're male, do you carry your wallet in your back pocket when you're driving? This could also contribute to the problem, inducing bouts of sciatica.

Move your seat back, lift the rear (slightly) and telescope the wheel out to you.

Thanks for your help everyone. I tried tilting the front of the seat up a bit (the back is tiled up too) and it seems to put more pressure behind my knees. I'm trying it out to see if I like it or not. My lumbar support is all the way forward. I used to always drive with my wallet in my back pocket (except long trips) and it was usually ok. I've noticed it bothering me more though so I have not been doing that. I have noticed a bit of discomfort in other cars so it might not have anything to do with my TSX.

Try not putting full lumbar support in there. I thought i needed it but i only put in half and it feels great.
