Scale models of TSX available?

Has anyone seen if there's a scale model available for the TSX yet? I was wanting to get a model of my car for my office, so I could ogle at it and dream of driving it along the open highway when I should be working.

you'll find the Euro R and the Euro Accord there in die case 1/48 scale. Pretty sweet, detailed models.

Some 1/18 scale would be nice, but I'm guessing we're not going to see any of those any time soon. Those 1/43s are pretty lacking in detail and the paint just looks thick on them.

I like the rims on the Euro R though.

I have both a CG Euro Accord and a White Euro-R Accord. Models are nice, but once again, they are 1/48th scale. I just like having them.

The pics don't do the actual model justice...I have the Euro R in red, blue and 2 IBP (one in my car, and one on display at home). Ive ordered mine through Ebbro when they had free shipping (normally $8US/item). I've seen them on eBay going as cheap as $24US. I just recently got the MDX...should be arriving soon!

I actually prefer the 1/43 scale models.

Here is a link to my IBP in my car...I will add more pics soon. I'm just so damn busy...

The paint quality is pretty nice. I wouldn't suggest the white though, but the CG looks great, it just isn't a Euro-R.

There are a few sites that list these models... I don't recall the one I purchased it from, but I think it cost me a total of $36 per model to reach my door, so if you can get them cheaper, go for it.

I just called EBBRO's N.J. distributor and ordered a black one ($35 plus shipping). They say it'll be here next Tuesday. Can't wait!

Their phone # is (732) 424-7811 in case anyone else is interested.

Ahh... now I'm really gonna reveal that I'm a dork.

Fujimi model company has just released the 1/24 Accord wagon model kits. Now, unlike the Ebbro ones, these are not pre-built, which means that you have to build them yourself... of course the beauty of it is that you can paint it with high gloss enamels for a personal finish. I heard that the sedan is not far behind in release, sometime early next year.

Junkster, whose embarassed about his model kit addiction.

No, they haven't, though I've seen pictures from shows of the pre-production ones from both Fujimi and Tamiya. They should be coming up soon.

Junkster, whose found another dork in Bowersan...hehe.

Heheh, you dont understand what kind of a dork I am.

For my friends birthday last month I wanted to get him a scale model of his car (2003 Audi A4 in Dolphin Grey).

Apparently, they dont make models of the A4 in that colour in N.America.. But i wouldnt be satisfied with the wrong colour.
So I sent an email out to about 30 dealers in the UK- got a reply from about 10, and completed the transaction with the one dealer who didnt want to charge me a service fee.

Thats how big of a nerd I am.

J.

Ahh...you're my buddy now! I don't know how many you have, but I sure have a lot!!! But one thing in my collection is that the model kits MUST be Tamiya if plastic models. The reason is that Tamiya's quality is far better than all the other brands.

Let's see, I have
- (2) 1/18th scale die-cast models by UT
- (2) 1/43rd scale die-cast models by Ebbro
The followings are all Tamiya models:
- (27) 1/24th sports car series (built and on the shelf)
- (9) 1/24th sports car series (not built yet, still in boxes)
- (1) 1/20th grand prix series (not built yet, still in box)
- (2) 1/12th motorcycle series (not built yet, still in boxes)
- (3) 1/10th R/C cars (1 ready to race, another almost done, and 1 trying to sell)
- probably (5) 1/10th R/C spare bodies (most of them are done)

I may have missed couple (I need to check my inventory :P), but you get the picture. Damn...I spent too much money on models!!!

vwong, it's a dangerous addiction... in my case it's all sorts of scale models, including anime stuff, so my funds get drained once every year when I place my order through hobbylinkjapan (hlj.com). I usually stick with Tamiya, though Fujimi has many of the Honda cars that I like. I lost count of how many car models I've built, but it's somewhere in the 80 to 100 range including stuff I did for friends (did a BMW bavaria for a friend once... took me 10 weeks to get the details just right).

Junkster, who thinks crack is cheaper than scale model building.

I don't think B-D was trying to insult anybody. Just a little good natured joking around! He didn't mean anything!

BTW, I like your collection!

My next project is to make a resin copy from a metal 1/32 of the new 2003 Integra Type-R so i can race that too !

Hopefully a 1/32 scale Accord / Tsx will come out.

Got my Ebbro 1:43 PWP Euro-R today. Looks great, but wish you could open the doors etc. If you want to see how large the model is, check out the link.

People talk about doing JDM conversions to their TSX. How about doing a USDM conversion on the Accord model?
