Same old tricks!!!
I was the proud owner of a TL, for 2 days. I just took it back and handed the keys to the sales manager.
Hall Acura, in Virginia Beach, VA, tried the old your "financing wasn't approved, you have to sign this new lease, scam."
I told them as I sat in the F&I office that I would bring the car back if they changed a single thing.
So I did.
I wouldn't give them back the manuals, etc, until they gave me back the original documents and the copies of my drivers license. Then they only gave me back some of my documents. When I said there was some missing, the sales manager went into her office and mysteriously found them. Suprise!
I had picked the car up on Saturday, and they gave me 2 days to fall in love. But it's only a car and I don't put up with that kind of scam from anyone.
If they had told me the correct information up front, or had told me that I would not be approved for the lease, I would have done something else to buy the car. But they did every thing they could to get me into the dealership and then pulled that on me.
Take what ever lesson that you like from this.
Let the buyer beware.

You must be really upset... 'cause you posted this in the TSX forum instead of the TL forum...
Maybe you'll get a call from them tomorrow saying everything's well, and they simply made a mistake.
Hope it works out.

Every forum I can find.
No error. Just posting about an Acura Dealer in every Acura forum I can find. If I have this kind of problem with a TL, it could happen with a TSX.
Know any other forums???

You just have to find the right dealership.
here in SoCAL, I have serval dealerships within 15 miles of each direction, so i have alot of choices.
one dealership tried to get me into a 14% financing. so i went to another dealership and bought the car at a lower price and just got financing though my father's bank.

I realize car dealerships are independent businesses, but I would certainly make Acura aware of such shabby treatment being carried out under their name.
Scum!!!

I commend you for your actions. If I were in your posistion, I would be pissed too. I know I would never give up my baby but I would certainly fight the dealership and also contact Honda America and explain the situation, if you havent already done so. Good Luck with whatever you do. Hopefully it won't put a sour taste in your mouth because Acura's really are awsome vehicles. Best of Luck!!
