I've never heard of such a thing. As far as I know, there is no "roll cage" or "roll bar" in the TSX. It is a unit body frame, with a beam that runs across the frame (exterior) to aid in crumple affect, side-impact beams and side curtain airbags, but no roll cage.

Where did you hear this?

There is also federally-mandated rollover protection, which all cars must have. Basically, there's enough structural strength around the passenger compartment so that, if you roll your car, you won't lose your head.

I spotted something in the manual that stated the sides of the roof were reinforced for rollovers. Nice little diagram included.

Ha ha... What other neat features on the TSX did the dealer tell your mom?
I find this really funny as I can visualize the salesman trying SO hard to sell...
When the IS300 first hit the dealers' showrooms, I was there to take a closer look. There, I overheard a conversation between a salesman and a potential lady buyer. The salesman said "The IS300 has the state of the art suspension setup and its handling just as sharp as the Ferrari..." The lady customer smiled and replied "Oh is that right? My husband just got a 355 spider last month so he would be really interested to continue this conversation with you. But he is over there checking out the RX300. Would you like me to get him over here?" The salesman paused for a minute and said "Madam, I'll be right back with the keys". As he stepped away, the lady turned to me and said "What a salesman".

salesmen lie... very few don't. when a friend of mine when to get buy a new car, he asked his salesman if he could see the invoice price on car he wanted to purchase. the salesmand kindly got the invoice for the car, but upon closer examination, the VIN on the invoice didn't match the VIN on the car. In short, the salesman gave the invoice price for a SUV, not the car that my friend wanted. The salesman was trying to sell the car for more than it was worth. =/
