Sad day

Don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this but here it goes...

Long time friend of mine passed away last night while she was in the passenger seat of her TL. I'm not sure of the circumstances surrounding the whole situation, but I am trying to make the situation as positive as I can. Just want you all to remember that no matter how safe you think your cars are, it never hurts to practice smart driving. Don't drink and drive. Don't speed. Don't multitask and fuck around with friends. She was only 23.

My thoughts go out to you, her family, and anyone close to her. A tragedy.

Sorry to hear that man. Wish I could say something to make it easier, but you speak very wisely about safety. It may save someone else.

God keep you close,
Ken

Sounds like a topic for Ramblings, but I can imagine how you feel. It's a real tragedy when such a young person loses his/her life in a needless mishap.

I can add, DUI is nothing to mess with. Several years in the Fed law enforcement sector, I got more than a bellyful of details surrounding completely senseless and avoidable losses of life or limb due to simply not taking precautions. It's not something that "only happens to other people." It happens to friends, daughters, brothers, classmates.

My Condolences. You can only do so much, even with the newer cars, you are not 100% protected from accidents.
