Royal Blue's first detail

Hi Folks,

Given the weather this year I consider myself lucky to have purchased a new car and been able to detail it in the same week. First nice day in quite a while, and it was fun making the car look nice. I'll make a post in the 'wash & wax' forum about the nitty grittys, but here are some shots...

This is really a terrific car - I'm beginning to understand why my wife loves it so much. The color - not my first choice - has really grown on me.

My favourite colour combination, but you either don't have kids, a dog, or live in Canada. After I left some ugly footprints in the back of a similarly coloured 325, I felt I had to go for a black interior.

Looks very nice. I washed my car about a week ago and within 24 hours it rained and then the pine trees here in Ga started pollenating. So... my car got all yellow again quick.

Great colour choice!! I am rather partial to it.

I detailed mine yesterday, but of course it rained today while I was out golfing this morning.

Congrats.

RBP is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! It's such a shame that I am yet to see one in person.... all the TSX around here are either silver, carbon grey, white, or black, with the occasional ABP but never RBP, the new light blue or the green color.... I WANT TO SEE THEM!

Me too, till today while I was washing my car, I found a nice scratch with red paint and a spot of my SSM paint taken off my front bumper. God damn assholes that don't respect other people's things!!! I am **pissed**.

VroomVroom......Awesome pictures. I'm close by.....I just picked up a Glacier Blue 6sp. non navi from Los Gatos Acura last saturday. I'm just dying to give it the first wash after all the rain we've been having. By the way..........I just love this car. All of what you guys have said about the handling and performance is right on the money.

I thought I was the only one not to have seen a RBP yet?

VroomVroom, please take more pics (especially in the sun)!!! Nice!

For some reason, here's my favorite:

That's a beautiful color, you did a nice job on the detail. Inspired me to finally pick up a PC 7424 and pads, etc.!

TL & TSX Royal Blue identical?

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, but does the TSX Royal Blue Pearl look identical to the same color on the TL? I'm trying to get some quotes on one from different dealers (some time constraints involved in this), but I'm not sure I'll be able to actually see a RBP TSX before I need to contact the dealers. I previously made a mistake in thinking that the TSX red was the same as the TL one, and I wouldn't want to do that again.

I believe the RBP's are the same on the TSX and TL. There used to be an Abyss Blue Pearl on the TL, but it was switched to Royal Blue Pearl this year.

BTW...I love the red on the TL. Very nice color. Wonder how it would look on the TSX.
