Is removing intake resonator bad for the car?

Just wondering...

Is there a bad change of hydrolock?

There's less of a chance of water entering the intake if you remove the resonator, assuming you're justing running the stock airbox, and not a CAI.

Why is that? Is there an air hole somewhere down in the fender area, or just that it isn't sealed terribly well? If you removed the resonator, I'd think that you'd leave a couple of holes that would need sealing.... Meanwhile, the stock inlet tube seems relatively high, at the battery.

theres nothing you have to seal or close up. There is only one intake line and it still stops after the airbox.

If you remove the "J" pipe as well, then there is less chance of hydrolock.
