I'm looking at picking up the QuickLift Elite kit for my hood. My only question is whether or not a rivet gun is required? The instructions list it as a required tool but nowhere else in the document is it ever mentioned, the whole job looks like it can be done with a power drill, some good bits, a tape measure, and a socket set.

I read through the instructions...apparently you don't need the rivet gun. I think it might be remnants from another guide for another car. They probably list the same list of tools regardless of application...

You needed a pop rivet gun when they were sending pop rivets to secure the plates onto the car. They since then are sending machine screws.
