I just picked up my car from dealer for the famous seat creak problem. They fixed it really good and I have no creaks anymore. But while it was in the shop for warranty work they also did Recall 07-016. This was regarding to headlight brackets. Is this old recall??

 

Yea thats pretty new, I got a notice in the mail last week, but i had my lights replaced last summer due to condensation.

 

Wait...seat creak...I recently found out my seat is creaking....there's fix for it?

 

mine was creaking from back support. it was found to be bad springs. this is what they did according to receipt.

- reposition the seat and insulate bracket from the floor panel
- insulate springs in seat back

 

Hmm...I'm going to bring it in to see if they can fix it. I just heard the creaking today too. I was testing it by sitting up and it creaked. Thanks for letting me know!

 

TSB 07-016 was issued on March 10, 2007. You can find a copy of it in our FAQ Section.

The creaking seat issue is also a TSB, number06-018 and applies to all 2006 TSXs. The TSB shows you exactly what they did to eliminate the creaking/squeaking.

 

interesting...didn't know about it - but doesn't effect me either thankfully
