Rear windshield question

Hey guys and gals,

Quick question for you all. I have an 05 TSX and had the rear windshield replaced today because some punk decided to throw a shot-put size rock through it. Question is: does your rear windshield have a weather strip/rubber strip that surrounds the outer edge of the rear windshield? Just please take a look and say yes or no (and owners of 05 TSXs would be particularly helpful). Peoria Acura and Delray Acura show that a rubber strip does come with our car but the repairman who has supposedly been at the job for years says our cars do not. As for myself, I can't remember for the life of me if I had one on the old window or not (repairman said there wasn't one, but that may open up a whole new can of worms). At this point, I'm thinking there was a rubber strip that the repairman just didn't include.

So, again, question: does your rear windshield have a weather strip/rubber strip that surrounds the outer edge of the rear windshield? Yes or no.

Thanks all!

I'm not an '05 owner but hopefully this helps. On my old '09 and my current '11, there is no weatherstrip. It looks just like this picture of an '05 TSX:

If memory serves, there are a bunch of 1st gen TSXs in my neighborhood, and none of them have a weatherstrip. Now that I think about it, it'd be pretty ugly to have one.

Thank you, sir. Before I posted, I looked at some TSX pics online and none were very definitive. I surveyed the cars on our street (07 Camry, 07 BMW, 03 TL, 11 Corolla) and all of them have a rubber strip on the rear windshield in one form or another. The rubber strip on the Corolla was the most helpful, I think. The rear windshield looks like the TSX above (i.e. looks like it doesn't have one) but, upon closer inspection, you could see the rubber strip beneath the window. It was thin, but it looks like it would drain the water down to the trunk and protect water from seeping into the car. I'm thinking that if the 05 TSX does have one, it would likely look like that (based on the pics). But I just can't confirm it, and that's why I'm here. Thanks again!

No weatherstrip surround.
I have a 2005 TSX and there is no weatherstrip surround on the rear windshield. There is a strip along the bottom edge of the window which is adjacent to the trunk lid.

Thanks for the response, darowa! That's exactly what I needed and makes sense when I look at my rear windshield as it currently is.
