Random warning chime and display blink
Random warning chime and display blink
Hi! Have recently been noting something that I had not experienced before. While driving the car, I will hear the warning chime followed by a quick blink of the display system. No warning lights come on and everything goes back to normal. Has happened 3 or 4 times now on a long road trip I recently took. Basically, highway driving for a few hours and I will hear the chime/beep and a quick blink of the display and everything back to normal. I had a new battery and a new ignition coil put in a week before the trip. Any ideas as to what might be triggering this?
A couple of other things that seem to be happening after getting the above repairs is a noise coming from the AC/heat when turned on and a general burning smell from under the hood. Wondering if all these are somehow connected? It is an 07 TSX with 175K miles on it.
Thanks!

I had a similar issue. The car had been fine. Drove it on the interstate for a while, got off the exit and everything started blinking. The negative battery cable was slightly loose I'd start checking connections.
I got similar issue for 2008 TSX. The chime sounds like the door open with key and the display blinks once whenever I heard the chime. The sound came out from time to time but not in high frequency. Any one figure out the possible cause? Thanks!
Oh, my 2008 TSX still has the original ignition coil. The problem lasts a while long before the power steering rack was replaced recently by Honda dealer. Because it only happens from time to time and we don't drive this car a lot (around 42K for 14 years). Therefore, I forgot to follow up this issue with Honda when the power steering rack was replaced.
