not legal in Cali. Still, I don't think a cop is going to look at a TSX's cat unless you've got alot more going on than that (intake, exhaust, and any visual cues that you are modded like lowering, kits, even tinted front windows).

Keep a pair of anti-foulers on hand just in case you toss a CEL. I get CELs randomly, but have an OBDII reader that I can erase them with... usually happens about 2x a month.

Last I checked, the CHP can't take your car away from you for illegal emissions modifications; they can only take your car if you're caught street racing or a parts inspection shows that you are missing identification numbers on your engine, tranmission, etc. (i.e., your parts are potentially stolen.) They can write you a big fix-it ticket, but other than that, you're in the clear.

Just a note here, as I know nothing about CARB/CHP...

While the RT Cat is legal in most states, it is always illegal to remove a functional cat. So the very act of having replaced your OEM cat with the RT cat is illegal, unless your OEM cat had failed.

Not that this will ever come up, but just thought I'd toss it out there.

I love my RT Cat.

Exactly. Nothing a sledge hammer couldn't take care of and make it look as if the cat failed. Listen, if you really want a more open cat, you guys with the 06->08 have 400 cell cats. Us 04-05s got a 900 cell, so going to the RT cat, a 200 cell, will help, but you could get away with your stock cat too.
