Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. Just got the 05 TSX and am thinking about tinting the windows. I asked the dealership about tinting. They told me that tinting may interfere/disrupt with the antenna since it's built into the back window. Have any of you tinted your windows with any negative results? Thanks for any feedback.

 

Dont have tints myself, but havent heard of anything

 

This has been discussed in many threads. Just do a search and you'll find information how certain tints that have metallic in it will interfere with the reception.

 

Metallic tints will minimize the reception, but regular tints have no harm.

 

Thing is, metallic tints reflect more of the heat versus non-metallic. I would try (as others have done) is non-metallic in the back window where the GPS antenna is, and metallic for all other windows. Best of both worlds.
