question about sportshift?

i'm not very familiar with the sportshift, and i wanted to know how you downshift. When do you know to downshift and wut do u have to do? Do you leave your foot on the gas pedal or brake when downshifting and at wut rpms should you do it at?

Not _the_ answer you're looking for, but most of the time I use sportshift for acceleration and let the auto downshift for me.

To downshift, just pull the shifter towards you once. (while in the `manual ss` gate of course) I don't have any specific RPM settings I go by, rather I'll just wait until it sounds like the engine is too soft and the RPMs are falling. Normally it works out - sometimes the RPM's turn out a bit high after shifting and the car jerks a bit.

Maybe the owners manual has some RPM listings for shifting that we could go by.

You can do it whenever you want, literally.

Yes, the owner's manual describes the speeds at which upshifting/downshifting is possible.
