I know this has been asked 1000 times, because when I did a search on "key fob linking" I got 500 hits --- so please forgive me.

How do I get the key fobs to link to driver 1 and driver 2 so I can customize the MID screen and the seat positions? I have stood outside and pressed the lock and unlock buttons on the fob, sat in the car with the engine off an pressed th ebuttons, etc. and still nothing.

Please help. The manual is not too friendly on this topic.

did u already push memo on the door and programmed a driver position?
after you got the seat adjusted, push memo on the door then 1 or 2 to program.. once you do that (making sure the light is green) then you push the lock and unlock buttons on the fob at the same time.. (i think i did mines while the car was on and on park).

then, turn car off, get out the car, lock the door with the fob, and then unlock with fob.. should say welcome driver X on the MID.

 

It will only say "welcome" when you get in the car... once you start the car it will say "Welcome Driver X"

The manual explains it. You need to press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. According to the manual, if the led lights up once, then it's linked...if it blinks twice, it's unlinked. A couple of posts I found here told me the opposite...but for me, the manual's way was correct.

And yes, it only says welcome when you get in...you need to turn the key, and then it'll welcome you "welcome driver 1"
