Smile Pushing the Envelope

Out of my own morbid curiosity -- If you could do anything to your TSX, what would you do?

some things that just popped into my head were:

awd conversion
lambo doors
turbo/supercharger
even hondata would be nice for me
extensive weight reduction via carbon/kevlar

I'm not sure how expansive our car's capabilities are, but it never hurts to brainstorm.

Im with you...well not the lambo, but the AWD.

I would buy a subie STI crate engine and go to town, that 300HP/300fpt with awd would be sick on the tsx. I would also swap out the interior with the A-spec concept cars interior.

Then I would rally it

My vote is for AWD, but if I was gonna add that, I'd also want another 50 or 60 hp to go with it. But I have a feeling we may come close to this with the next TSX.

I'd swap in a new 6th gear so I can get >35 mpg on the highway. I know we don't have a lot of torque down low, but couldn't I do 2k or 2.5k rpms at 70 mph instead of 3k?

At least it's not as bad as my girlfriend's Jetta...

If anything were possible, I would like to significantly decrease the weight without sacrificing the luxurious interior.

AWD is nice, but since nothing has designed on our car, I will pass it.

I would rather get the LSD; Racing bucket; and Reduce cabin noise.

Definite +1 on the LSD...

A DC5 Quaife LSD (along with a few other transmission mods) could be a possibility for me in the future...

Ummmm ... I read in multiple reviews that the 5AT has two overdrive gears ... I see them kick in when I'm up at speed. 65MPH, 70MPH. I'll have to take a look again on my drive home.

Me ... I'd like Hondata reflash (without the wait), tighter suspension, a better stereo, and a defector screen/force field that prevents the NC yellow spring pollen cloud from touching my car.

I have a 6 manual though. 5th gear and 6th gear are very close, too close I think. That's why the automatic gets better gas mileage on the highway than the manual.

I'll play. And I'll keep it somewhat realistic.

SH-FWD. Turbo. A smaller steering wheel. A sequential gearbox with actual mechanically linked paddle shifters.

That should do it.

I'd want a much quieter cabin, and for possibly a first to say out loud: TSX-hybrid. Low end torque galore, better MPG.

Dat would be kool.

Since I have a 2005 TSX, the only thing I'd ask for is BT and MP3 capability. But that's all going to be solved, since I've ordered the Alpine eX-10

All I really want now is suspension, like Tein CS. Engine upgrades would be nice, but I don't think they're necessary as the car is fine for what it is.

I'd turn mine into...this:

Hahaha all jokes aside...I'd make it RWD and swap in a TT I-6, like the 335i's. But all I really want in my TSX is for the rattles to be gone

^^ I really like the paint on that Ferrari.

For the TSX:

RWD or SH-AWD options.
4 or 6 cylinder option.
Turbo option.
A stiffer chassis.
Higher quality interior.
LSD. hehe
Major soundproofing.
Better quality paint.
More gizmos so I don't have to buy all these modules.
Camera, etc.

Reality:
LSD
Forced Induction
Sound Proofing
Navi retrofit
Carputer
BBK with a bigger MC

Dream:
Drop the S2K drivetrain in it and then turbo charge it
Reclining back seat like the G35
A 7-speed manual
