Pulled the trigger

Well, after Drigo and Roxxor got such great deals, I just had to go and see for myself. Well, after a bit of negotiations I am now the proud owner of a 08 PWP TL-S. Nice to see Drigo and Roxxor at the dealership.

It's been great with the 04 TSX. Learned a lot about cars and it was fun. But WOW, what an upgrade!! Loving the new car. I'll be at the dealer today to finish up the paper work as we were there so late. Not to mention a nice prep and some gas. I test drove it when it was below the "E".

First impression!

It's my birthday today and I must thank my wife for one, going with me, and two, for haggling the price. She's hardcore!! She's already talking about a photo shoot.

I guess I'll be hanging around more in the TL side of the forum.

Thanks everyone. It's gonna be weird driving the TL-S and having the LVMY TSX plates. I wonder if I can change my user name in here? LOL

It's nice to see people moving up the Acura chain TSX ---> TL ----> ?RL? ?NSX?

Well, considering it's being pushed out of the dealers for about the same price
or less than the TSX, it's a no-brainer.

Not sure how Acura is going to sell any TSX's with these TL-S's going for such
low prices.

Eh, that'll change around August/September when the new TLs come out. "Normalcy" will resume then.

Its costing me $70+ to fill up these days. Believe me when I tell you I'm looking at something a tad more frugal.

I'm leaning towards the Fit/weekend toy combo. We'll see come the fall when the new Fit is out. First year gremlins be damned.

Wow, I guess I shouldn't complain about the $55 I spent last week filling up then.

I know, but what else can I do, buy a Yaris?

I really like the styling of the new Fit over the current one.

No Yaris! LOL

I don't know. I guess I'd wait for the 2nd year, unless the gas money is really killing you that bad. It is quite nasty, especially if you have a long commute.

My TSX was at the dealer for A/C issues and I was given a TL (not Type S) to drive in the mean time.

It's not the car for me at this point in my life. I love it, but feel that the TSX fits me a bit better.

With that said, I'm not going anywhere for a while! (like anybody cares, lol)

The standard TL is not a good basis for comparison. I did not like the base TL either when I drove it, but the TL-S is quite different in a lot of ways, which makes it feel much more planted and smaller.

That reminds me, I need to get some tint on this car also. Yes, I'll continue to jump in here from time to time. I've go sooooo much to read on the TL side. I'll get some pics up soon. May go a photo shoot tomorrow.

OK so the regular TL sucks...?

I've never driven a TL, but I'm starting to think I should have waited a few weeks and purchased a TL for the same price as I did my TSX...

^^^I have both a TSX and TL-S in my fam... and my wife's cousin has a regular TL. The TSX and TL-S drive very differently, and there are a few threads on pros and cons of each.

As for the TL vs TL-S debate... many guys on the TL forums would beg to differ, but to me... I wouldn't even personally entertain buying a regular TL after being behind the wheel of a TL-S for some time. When I considered the jump when the '07s came out, I was able to get a quote of $32k + TTL. Apparently, some people are getting even better deals on the '08s right now...
