Protect windshield from municipal stickers?

I heard a commercial on a local radio station (Chicago) for a product that's supposed to act as an intermediate film between your windshield and any stickers that are applied to the interior (municipal registrations, etc...). The idea being that if you use this stuff it's buku easier to peel the sticker off a year later when you have to put the new one on. Of course, now that I have my car, I can't for the life of me remember what the product was called. Has anyone used any product like this or have any tips to accomplish something similar? I had forgot what a PIA it is to get those damn stickers off until I just redid my old car last night.

heh, I've just attached my apartment parking sticker to plastic wrap and used tape to affix the sticker to the window. that was on my old 92 accord when I didn't care about how it looked, but it was easy to take off for sure.

I got into the whole chat thing many many years ago and that's a bit of shorthand I've never managed to break away from. Good catch though. I reread my post three times and it never even registered.

I always use a razor blade and our freakin' stickers still leave a mess behind. I guess I'll just have to add Goo Gone to my ever-growing list of things I always forget to pcik up when I'm out.

Whoo Hoo! My C-Note post!

i cover the front first with scotch tape so it won't stick to the window. reason is not to damage the aftermarket tint on the inside of my window.

A while back I bought some inkjet cling film from staples. It makes that flim that clings like the stickers you get at your oilchange. Just cut it to size stick your sticker to it and let it cling from your window.

We have quite a few Canadians on this forum.

And most of us know a bit of French.
