Pricing Question: out the door price and financing charges
Hey Guys and Gals:
I want a non-navi TSX with no add ons (spoiler, etc.)
Browing around the threads I saw some folks paid in the $27,000 - $28,000 range as the out the door priced (including tax and license). My impression is that with good timing and negotiation this is possible.
But I wanted to be sure...for example a $27,500 out the door price does not include the financing charges, correct? That is, if I decide to finance the TSX for 4 years at say 2.9%, I woud have to add the accumulated interest to the $27,500, amount, right?
Thanks!

Umm, yea, but thats over 4 years. They dont add all the intrest up front.
You would pay 1659.01 in intrest over the life of the loan. This would come from your monthly payments (which by the way are 607.48), not up front.

AHFC is offering 2.9% for 37-48 months. I was offered this when I bought my TSX. I declined and got a FIXED 4.25 from USAA with gap ins and a few other perks.

Well, the best I could do (with BAD credit) was 10.44% and an out the door price of $30,200 with nav. The final price I negotiated for the car before TTT was a little high at $28,200. You should probably look at spending no more than $28,000 out the door for a non-nav.

Guys, look. Out the door pricing advice means NOTHING since we all live in different states. Tax prices vary from 7.75% out here in Cali, to 0% out in Oregon.
If you look at the other posts, you will see that most people are paying 400 - 600 over invoice. Thats the only number you need to know. Go from there and calc your tax and title and THAT would be your out the door price to negotiate around.

From time to time in different Regions/Zones of the country AHFC will offer a subvented/below prime interest rate for their vehicles. Check www.acura.com section special offers before you head to the dealer to make your purchase. Or check with your own lender for their prime rates.

I'm talking about CA prices
I'm buying in LA so I hope to pay in the mid $27,000 range after paying 8.25% sales tax plus license fees.
For about 2 weeks the Carsdirect.com price has been $25,900, which is $1300 above invoice (and about $1100 below MSRP). Invoice is $24,600. Certainly the Carsdirect.com price is negotiable...but at this point it seems getting $400-$500 above invoice would be somewhat of a challenge. Possible, but dificult.
Or, am I setting my sights too low? It seems clear that no one is paying at or below invoice...or has somebody out there managed this feat?
About the APR rate mentioned by one of the posters: yes, dealers are offering such rates here in LA and I'm sure CA.

Prices change depending on the particular demand in your area. There are only three dealers in Phoenix metro area. There was only one 6sp w/Navi within all three dealerships..... It had a spoiler and fogs.... Hard to negatiate when theres only one... 26500 + tax,license..
Love the car...!!!

Uhhh, you got the car for $12 under invoice...
1. How did you pull that off?
2. Explain how this was "Hard to negotiate"??
