Possible way to get rid of the silver trim on steering wheel and shifter...

I have read alot of people with the parchment interior love the interior but don't understand why Acura didn't put the wood trim on the steering wheel buttons and around the shifter.

Well...

Can those pieces be removed? If so what if you bring them to a body shop and have them painted a flat black color...that way there won't be the odd little silver accents anymore and everything would flow together a little better.

What do you guys think? The only thing that could be a problem is getting the pieces off. But if they come off easily, painting shouldn't be an issue

There is a wood trim kit you can get but I don't think it includes the steering wheel button or the shifter area.

correct. I'd rock the wood on the steering wheel, the silver is so out of place on Parchment

I def agree, alot of stuff bugs me about that interior but one of the bigger things is what you are saying, those odd little silver accents...
