Possible 3.0 V6 TSX????

Article about Honda selling the Accord in South Korea has a few contradictory statements.

1) States they will sell an Accord based on the NA Accord but picture shows a Euro Accord/NA TSX, right???

2) States it will be offered in 2.4 and 3.0 varieties.

Confused! Can anybody straighten this out?? Like do we know what else is built at Honda's Saitama plant, north of Tokyo? Did they just screw up the picture?

I think they just got the car in the picture wrong - I assume at a Japanese dealership - maybe they didn't have a picture of the Inspire. Everything points to the USDM Accord.

I'd love to see a small 2.x V6 or inline 6 from Honda specifically for the TSX.

I don't think either will fit.

Honda's built V-12s, which are just 2 I-6s on one crankcase.

Also it's built production I-5s, in the TL and Vigor.

But I agree, I don't think anything but an I-4 would fit in the TSX. Look for a turbo.

It would certainly fit. The Accord fits a V6 no problem. Take a look in the engine compartment, it's got a ton of room in it.

An inline 6 would never fit in the TSX. There is NO room for it.

A small V6 might be able to be squeezed in, but I wonder if it would make any improvement. There's no room for a 3.0L V6, and a smaller 2.5L would make damn near the same power as the I-4 that's in there.

Exactly! Not to mention a larger engine would weigh more thus slowing you down a wee bit. Also the car wouldn't be as welly balanced with a larger lump under the hood.

Just put bowling balls in the trunk, that'll fix the weight distribution.

Instead of dealing with turbo lag, i think a nice supercharger could boost 30-40 horse
